Republika Srpska Minister of Justice Goran Selak extended congratulations on Police Day of Republika Srpska to Minister of Interior Željko Budimir and all members of the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska.
Selak emphasized that the Republika Srpska police represent one of the key institutions and competences of Republika Srpska, with an irreplaceable role in preserving peace, security, and the constitutional order.
“The Republika Srpska police are a pillar of stability in our society and a guarantor of security for all citizens. Their role is of exceptional importance both in everyday life and in maintaining the institutional strength and order of Republika Srpska,” Selak said.
The minister stressed that members of the police made an immeasurable contribution during the Homeland Defense War in defending Republika Srpska, adding that their sacrifice obliges all institutions to continue strengthening the security system.
“The memory of fallen police officers is a lasting obligation and a reminder of the price of the freedom we have today,” Selak stated in his message.
He added that, even in peacetime, the Republika Srpska police remain one of the most important pillars of society through the fight against crime, the protection of citizens, and the preservation of public order.
“In times of numerous challenges, a strong and professional police force means a secure Republika Srpska,” Selak concluded.
