Dodik: Republika Srpska one of the most peaceful and secure areas

SNSD President Milorad Dodik said today that Republika Srpska is one of the most peaceful and secure areas, stressing that any society seeking security, stability, and peace must develop its own security institutions.

“This is not easy for us to achieve here. It is not easy within the framework called Bosnia and Herzegovina, imposed by global actors and particularly misused by Sarajevo, where there are efforts to undermine everything,” Dodik said.

He recalled that around fifteen years ago, the main issue was police reform, which, he said, was intended to weaken Republika Srpska.

“And to this day, there are attempts to present that we should contribute to some imagined concept called Bosnia and Herzegovina,” he said, adding that Bosnia and Herzegovina is a divided, unstable, and unconstitutional society.

Following a ceremony in Zalužani marking Police Day of Republika Srpska, Dodik stated that Republika Srpska today represents one of the most peaceful and secure environments.

He thanked police officers and paid special tribute to those who lost their lives both during and after the war.

Dodik also noted that salaries for police officers were significantly increased last year, and that this year the increases were extended to other employees within the Ministry of Interior.

“By the end of the year, there will certainly be another increase covering everyone, including police officers in Republika Srpska,” Dodik said, expressing satisfaction that this year’s recruitment call for future police officers attracted three to four times more applicants than usual.
