With the aim of promoting cultural heritage, project partners and the Tourist Organization of the City of Derventa have signed a cooperation agreement on the implementation of the project “Protection of cultural heritage in BiH with the support of CSO networks – PCH Program,” which is already delivering concrete results.
In line with the signed agreement, the handover of 10 virtual reality headsets was carried out at the premises of the Tourist Organization of the City of Derventa. The headsets will be used to promote the historical core of the city of Derventa, as well as the Derbent fortress, which significantly influenced the development of the city as it exists today.
Activities have also begun on the production of a 3D video that will be shown using these headsets and made available to students, residents of Derventa, and all future visitors, who will have the opportunity to learn about interesting historical facts related to the city’s origins.
The established cooperation is a positive example of synergy between the public and civil sectors, aimed at preserving cultural heritage, developing the cultural tourism offer, and introducing modern technologies into the promotion of cultural heritage.
The project “Protection of cultural heritage in BiH with the support of CSO networks – PCH Program” aims, through cooperation between CSOs and institutions, to protect and enhance the cultural heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project is financed by the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina, while the mentioned activities were co-financed by the Tourist Organization of the City of Derventa.
