For 30 years, pressures on Republika Srpska have continued without interruption, and the attempt to strip the president of his mandate and impose elections represents the culmination of legal violence against the Serb people and their state, it was stated at the Belgrade panel discussion titled “What is Republika Srpska’s response to the aggression of the protectorate.”
The discussion, featuring prominent professors, experts, and analysts, was organized by the news and political portals Sve o Srpskoj and Fakti, with the support of the Representative Office of Republika Srpska in Serbia.
Participants emphasized that the SDS’s rush to nominate a candidate for illegitimate presidential elections prevented unity in the struggle against the colonial administration in BiH and Christian Schmidt.
“There will be no retreat. It is good that the authorities in Republika Srpska decided to participate in these imposed elections and to fight to win. I am convinced that they have the stronger candidate and that victory is achievable,” said historian Aleksandar Raković.
Political scientist Aleksandar Pavić underlined the importance of victory for the ruling coalition’s candidate, calling it essential for defending Republika Srpska’s constitutional position.
According to Milorad Stepić, reclaiming the initiative is a matter of survival for Srpska. He stressed the need for an uncompromising refusal to recognize Schmidt, the abolition of the OHR, and the neutralization of the Constitutional Court of BiH, which he described as an instrument of Bosniak unitarism.
Mlađen Cicović, head of the Representative Office of Republika Srpska in Serbia, added that the true response to the foreign protectorate is victory in these imposed elections.
The participants agreed that Republika Srpska’s response must be strengthening its institutions and expanding cooperation with friendly countries, particularly within the BRICS bloc.
“While Murphy, Schmidt, and the BiH Court tightened the silk noose in the dark corridor, Dodik internationalized the issue — Cvijanović accepted Landau’s invitation to Washington, and Dodik once again went to Moscow,” said political scientist Nenad Kecmanović.
Predrag Ćeranić, from the Faculty of Security Studies in Banja Luka, emphasized the importance of developing ties in culture, education, and spiritual life with countries that have proven to be true friends of Republika Srpska.
Speakers concluded that efforts must be directed toward the all-Serb interest, avoiding any internal divisions, as the global geopolitical environment is becoming increasingly favorable for the Serb people and Republika Srpska.
