The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Una-Sana Canton has filed a report with the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of USC against Adil Ćenanović, an Islamist who harassed a family in Bihać for playing the song “Rejoice, Serb people”, ATV has confirmed.
At the same time, police filed misdemeanor charges against several individuals who, on two occasions in Bihać, loudly played the song by Danica Crnogorčević.
“After the report of the incident, the police immediately responded and held all responsible persons accountable. First, two individuals who were in the house were reported, and the following day other individuals who were with them. The report was filed for a misdemeanor under the Law on Public Order and Peace, Article 7, paragraph 1.6. (whoever, in a public place, offends the religious, national, or racial feelings of citizens),” Abdullah Keranović, spokesperson for the USC Ministry of Interior, told ATV.
Following that incident, an investigation was launched against Adil Ćenanović as well.
“Against this person, a criminal investigation has been initiated, and on September 4, police officers submitted a report to the USC Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office for a committed criminal offense,” said Keranović.
Islamist harassed Serbs in Bihać over the song “Rejoice, Serb people”
As a reminder, after a video of a house in Bihać from which the song “Rejoice, Serb people” could be heard was published on social media, Ćenanović came in front of the house shouting “Takbir – Allahu Akbar.”
He posted everything online and issued threats.
“We are in a place where a Chetnik or a Chetnik woman was playing Rejoice, Serb people. I hope this won’t happen again in this town, because this is not Široki Brijeg nor Jajce. Locals confirmed that the USC police did their job. We hope that from this house it will never happen again and that it won’t be played. Takbir! Allahu Akbar! Let’s see who will dare to turn it up,” he declared in his post.
The incident happened in mid-August, with Ćenanović wearing a headband that read “There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the messenger of Allah” (لا إله إلا الله محمد رسول الله).
On his social media, Ćenanović shares radical Islamist messages and views of Islamist theologians. He is also a participant in the Bužim marches, which for years have disturbed the public and occasionally prompted reactions from the European community in BiH. He has also posed wearing shirts of the El Mujahideen unit.
