Dodik: This is a strike against Republika Srpska

President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik said today that the verdict confirmed by the Court of BiH is a political blow to Republika Srpska, and rejected the legitimacy of the charges based on the decisions of Christian Schmidt.

“This is nothing unexpected. Everything is as we anticipated. Under the Dayton Agreement and the BiH Constitution, the Constitutional Court of BiH doesn’t even legally exist,” Dodik stated at a press conference.

He emphasized that Schmidt has caused “great disorder” in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“Schmidt decided to criminalize anyone who refuses to obey him. That’s the essence of this case. If we accept that a man with zero legitimacy can dictate law—then we are in serious trouble,” Dodik said, calling the case politically motivated.

He added that the EU, led by Sattler and Marta Kos, is behind the push for a verdict against him, as “Europe needs to flex muscle somewhere, since it has failed in Ukraine, Gaza, and on trade fronts.”

“The court is political. The prosecutor is a Muslim, the first judge a Muslim, the second judge who ruled—a Muslim. The appeals panel? Two Muslims. What verdict could you expect?” Dodik added.

He insisted that Republika Srpska will respond politically, but peacefully.

“The people should not fear. Not a single gunshot will be fired. We will not hesitate to protect Republika Srpska, but it will all be done through political decisions,” he said.

Dodik said Republika Srpska is not without alternatives and must reject the authority of the BiH Court and Prosecutor’s Office.

“We will reaffirm our Constitution and laws. I expect full support from Serbia and Russia. Željka Cvijanović and I will also send a new letter to the U.S. administration.”

He warned Serbs in Republika Srpska: “If you don’t wake up now, you may lose the right to decide anything ever again.”

Calling for the rejection of EU integration, Dodik said, “The Growth Plan was sabotaged by the SDA, yet the punishment is falling on SNSD and Republika Srpska.”

He ended by saying: “I will still be here in six years, and when I return to elections, we will offer a new platform. But I hope by then there will no longer be a Bosnia and Herzegovina.”
