Budimir: The goal is the de-constitution of the Serb people

The institutions of Republika Srpska must respond following the confirmation of the first-instance verdict against President Milorad Dodik, as the consequences could be historically fateful for the position of the Serb people, said Minister of Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education Željko Budimir.

Budimir stated that the ultimate goal of upholding the first-instance verdict is the de-constitution of the Serb people in BiH and the creation of a false model to be called a centralized civic Bosnia and Herzegovina, which would be under the domination of Bosnian Muslims.

“This is both the outcome and the beginning of political persecution. The institutions of Republika Srpska must respond, because the consequences could be historically decisive for the position of the Serb people. All political instruments must be used to secure the position of the Serb people in accordance with the Constitution and the Dayton Agreement,” Budimir explained.

He emphasized that this is not about an individual or a personal matter, but rather about the constitutional authority of the president of the Republic being completely undermined by the confirmation of the first-instance verdict of the unconstitutional Court of BiH.

“This is a shameful and expected decision by an unconstitutional Court of BiH, through which the judicial dictatorship of one ethnic community—Bosniaks—has launched political persecution of the most important Serb political leaders in Republika Srpska and BiH, beginning with this verdict against the president of Republika Srpska,” Budimir told SRNA.

The fact that the second-instance body confirmed the first-instance verdict, Budimir said, has a very clear consequence—the collapse of the constitutional system and an attack on all institutions of Republika Srpska, because the president of the Republic represents all institutions and the unity of the Serb people.

The Appellate Division of the Court of BiH confirmed the first-instance verdict against the president of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, sentencing him to one year in prison and a six-year ban from political activity for “non-compliance” with the decisions of Christian Schmidt.
