I condemn the German authorities’ intent to ban the AfD, said the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik.
“The political and judicial persecution of AfD demonstrates that European liberalism has turned from promoting freedom into a punitive expedition aimed at persecuting political dissenters,” Dodik said in a post on X.
He reminded that the democracy Europe once took pride in meant respect for the will and choice of the people.
“Today, we are witnessing the denial and suppression of the people’s will in order to serve the interests of the political establishment,” Dodik stated.
He said that the protection of bureaucracy has become more important than the protection of national sovereignty.
“All parties that advocate for traditional Christian values and the right of peoples to self-determination are being persecuted through staged judicial processes. Bureaucracy defends its privileges without hesitation, but I deeply believe that the ideas of sovereigntism and the will of the people will ultimately prevail, and that AfD will continue its political activity,” Dodik said.
