Croatian MEP Željana Zovko (HDZ) has taken a strong stance against the Office of the High Representative (OHR) in BiH, stating that it is “leading the country into chaos” and should be shut down. She advocates for electoral reform and greater accountability from local politicians.
Zovko emphasized that “OHR is driving the country into disarray and must be closed.” During a plenary session, she stressed that “BiH’s priority should be electoral reform and the closure of OHR, especially in the context of the current political turmoil in the country.”
- “The High Representative earns 26,000 euros per month to keep BiH in a state of disorder. We must reform the electoral system, close the OHR, and bring BiH into the EU because the U.S. is stepping back,” Zovko stated.
Additionally, during her address, Zovko said that “BiH must find a compromise between its three constituent peoples and amend the electoral law to ensure equal rights for all citizens.”
It is noteworthy that Zovko is now lobbying against Christian Schmidt, who just three days ago met with HDZ leader Andrej Plenković.
Following his meeting with Schmidt, Plenković reiterated the need to ease tensions and return to dialogue to ensure the functionality of BiH.
