The Minister for Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education of Republika Srpska, Željko Budimir, stated that the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, or rather its politicians, continuously and daily violate the Dayton Agreement. Now, when Srpska says that we need to return to constitutional competencies, they call it a coup.
He emphasized that this is, in fact, a distortion of the truth.
Budimir pointed out that one of the most recent laws adopted in Republika Srpska pertains to reclaiming competencies that have been taken over by unconstitutional institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“Just open the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina and check whether what the leadership of Republika Srpska has done is in accordance with the Constitution or not, and everything will become clear to you,” Budimir told reporters in Banja Luka.
Regarding the implementation of laws, Budimir stressed that Srpska has the authority to enact legislation.
He stated that tensions are rising because Bosnia and Herzegovina is a supervised democracy, essentially a colony or a protectorate.
“At this moment, Republika Srpska has nowhere else to go. They have stripped and undermined Republika Srpska to such an extent that if we do not stop this process now, there will be nothing left to defend. This is not an attack on the president of Srpska, Milorad Dodik—this is an attack on institutions, especially the legislative ones, and on Srpska’s ability, as one of the federal entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to pass laws,” Budimir concluded.
