Exports down, imports up in Republika Srpska

Republika Srpska recorded exports worth 4.629 billion KM in foreign trade over the first eleven months of this year, marking a 3.6% decrease compared to the same period last year, according to data from the Republika Srpska Institute of Statistics.

During the same period, Republika Srpska’s imports amounted to 6.712 billion KM, reflecting a 4.4% increase compared to the previous year.

The export-to-import coverage rate stood at 69%.

In the first eleven months of this year, Republika Srpska achieved its highest export value of 770 million KM in trade with Croatia, while the highest import value of 1.1 billion KM came from Serbia.

Analyzed by product groups, from January to November this year, the largest share of exports, amounting to 347 million KM, was attributed to electricity. Meanwhile, the largest share of imports, valued at 477 million KM, consisted of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals (excluding crude).
