Višković: I Strongly condemn the vandal attack on children in Mostar

The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Radovan Višković, has condemned the attack on Serb children in Mostar and the display of fascist symbols by unknown perpetrators.

“I strongly condemn the vandal attack on Serb children in the returnee village of Baćevići near Mostar, as well as the display of fascist symbols on the sports field in this settlement by unknown perpetrators. I expect the relevant authorities to identify the perpetrators as soon as possible and to adequately sanction them. I call on the Ministry of Interior of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton to ensure and guarantee the safety and peaceful life of Serb returnees in Mostar,” stated Višković.

He emphasized that violence must be eradicated from society, especially violence rooted in interethnic intolerance.

“I demand that the perpetrators of this heinous act with fascist undertones be punished severely and that zero tolerance towards any form of violence against returnees in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton be emphasized,” Višković added.

To recall, several unknown individuals attacked Serb children at a playground in the returnee settlement of Baćevići in Mostar, and the playground and village were covered with swastikas, the letter “U,” and “HVO,” as confirmed by the residents of this settlement.
