The Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship of Republika Srpska, Vojin Mitrović, held a meeting today with representatives of the Israeli company Aktiv Israel, which plans to relocate its production facilities from Turkey to Republika Srpska.

Aktiv Israel, part of the Milestone Group, encompasses eight companies and is active in the construction materials sector. The company has expressed interest in investing in the region.

Representatives of the Israeli group informed the Minister of their intention to move their production plant to the Balkans due to challenges they are currently facing in Turkey. They showed interest in the subsidies offered by the Government of Republika Srpska and the Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship through the current legal framework. The delegation presented their predominantly export-oriented group, along with plans to start production in Srpska and expand into new markets, for which Srpska offers the most favorable conditions in the region.

Minister Mitrović thanked them for their interest and presented the tax policies and subsidies provided by the Government of Republika Srpska. He also highlighted Srpska’s advantageous position near the borders of the European Union. Additionally, he informed them that the new Law on Economic Incentives in Republika Srpska will take effect on January 1, 2025, and that, during the drafting of secondary legislation, all factors that simplify procedures for businesses will be considered.

The Minister also emphasized the Government’s and Ministry’s readiness to provide all necessary assistance to facilitate the realization of this investment discussed at today’s meeting.
