By charter flight from Banja Luka, the football players of Borac traveled to Dublin, where they will face Shamrock tomorrow in a decisive match for a spot in the knockout stage of the UEFA Conference League.
The “Red and Blues” have performed impressively so far, earning seven points. A draw against the Irish side will be sufficient for advancement.
“Projections suggest that eight points should be enough to progress, but we will aim for victory in every match and assess the situation afterward. We want to represent Borac in the best possible light in Dublin and earn points that would boost both the club’s coefficient and that of the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Our primary goal, now that we’ve reached this stage, is to try to advance. Whether we need one or three points for that, we’ll see. We don’t want to engage in any calculations. If opportunities arise, we’ll adapt our tactics to secure a win or a draw, and in the end, we’ll see if we’re satisfied,” said Borac’s head coach, Mladen Žižović.
Shamrock has already secured their spot in the next round, earning eight points from two wins and two draws in four matches.
The match is scheduled for Thursday at 9:00 PM at the “Tallaght” Stadium in Dublin.
