The proceedings in the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina are not a trial but retribution against the president of Srpska, Milorad Dodik, for his persistent and determined fight for Republika Srpska, said Aleksandar Vulin, Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia, in an interview for RTRS program Pečat.
“This is also an attempt to remove Dodik from political life, but that decision is not theirs to make because it is up to the Serb people in Republika Srpska to decide,” Vulin stated.
Vulin emphasized the importance of commemorating shared dates.
- “We have been marking our shared dates for nearly a decade. This means that when we are united and stand by what we say, no one can change that. The declaration adopted at the All-Serb Assembly is a historic document for several reasons: for the first time in the history of the Serb people, the highest officials have adopted a joint declaration. Do we dream of unification? Of course, we do. Are we supposed to say we want to live in ten states? The ‘Serb world’ is our way of staying closest to one another,” Vulin stressed.
Vulin noted that much depends on how the world will look in the next five to ten years.
- “The ‘Serb world’ does not threaten anyone, but I see no reason why we should not care for one another. We make all key decisions together. When we make decisions about Kosovo and Metohija, we consider how they will affect Republika Srpska and Montenegro. The ‘Serb world’ is our way of fighting to remain united, and no one can take that dream away from us,” concluded Aleksandar Vulin.
