Kovačević: Only the National Assembly of Srpska can elect the Serb delegate

Radovan Kovačević, a delegate in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, emphasized today that only the National Assembly of Republika Srpska has the authority to elect a Serb delegate to this body. He also warned of attempts to form another club that is “chosen from a Kinder egg.”

  • “I must remind you that this house includes five delegates from the Croat Caucus elected by the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, five delegates from the Bosniak Caucus elected by the same parliament, and five delegates from the Serb Caucus elected by the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, and no one else can choose them,” Kovačević said.

He warned that there are clear attempts to form another club “chosen from a Kinder egg.”

  • “And for someone to be chosen from that egg, they need to have colleagues like Asterix and Obelix, Masha and the Bear, with Nenad Vuković as the fifth delegate of such a Kinder egg club,” Kovačević added humorously.

He further explained that after the session had concluded and all agenda items had been exhausted, SNSD delegates left the hall, and Vuković took an oath without a quorum.

KOVAČEVIĆ: SNSD HAS PROVEN IT IS THE STRONGEST PARTY NOT ONLY IN SRPSKA BUT IN BiH

Kovačević, who is also the spokesperson for SNSD, stated that the fact that disappointed many in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is that SNSD and its leader, Milorad Dodik, proved in the recent local elections to be the strongest political party, not only in Republika Srpska but across the entire country.

Speaking to reporters, Kovačević said that SNSD is the absolute winner of the elections, having garnered the most votes in 47 municipalities with its coalition partners, and in 51 out of 63 municipalities in Republika Srpska.

  • “When they realized that the people of Republika Srpska are fully united behind Dodik and SNSD, they started applying new methods of pressure,” Kovačević noted, recalling the farce of Dodik’s trial at the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina yesterday.

According to him, the behavior of Judge Sena Uzunović completely changed during what he described as a ridiculous and scandalous trial.
