President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, stated that it is well-known that the Intelligence and Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (OBA) planned an assassination attempt on him and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, which is one of the reasons why former OBA director Osman Mehmedagić, also known as Osmica, is now in prison.
“A fully developed scheme was in place where they first established a surveillance network in Serbia, tracking President Vučić and his activities. They conducted media preparation for all of this from the Federation towards Vučić and me. There is now organizational evidence that groups were being prepared for execution and other actions,” said Dodik in Derviši near Banja Luka.
He mentioned that he had been aware of Osmica’s activities for some time and that Mehmedagić was prevented from carrying out such plans.
“If anyone in the region has an intelligence service, it’s Serbia. They think they can do something in Serbia,” Dodik remarked.
He added that Vučić had, a few years ago, obtained information about such activities from the Intelligence and Security Agency, which were stopped at the very outset.
