Fourteen-year-old Đorđe Perić from Bijeljina has won second place at the World Accordion Cup in Italy, in the “Junior Virtuoso” category for competitors up to 18 years old, representing Republika Srpska and BiH.
“Despite all the obstacles and challenges he faced during the competition, including unequal treatment and the suspension of two jury members, Đorđe managed to secure a medal. His success proves that talent, hard work, and dedication can overcome any challenge,” stated the “Kornelije Stanković” Music School in Bijeljina, where Đorđe is a student.
The school emphasized that Đorđe is a true example of how young talent can shine even in the toughest circumstances.
“His achievements are an inspiration to many young artists and a testament that with hard work and perseverance, great dreams can be realized. The silver medal shines with a golden glow,” the statement added.
The 77th World Accordion Cup was held in Italy from September 3 to 11.
Đorđe is a student at the “Kornelije Stanković” Music School in Bijeljina, under the tutelage of his father, Professor Slaviša Perić.
