President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik stated that Serbia and Republika Srpska today have the largest possible number of friends in the world, but the handicap is that they also have enemies, exemplified by Germany, which demonstrates a hostile approach to Serbian national policies in every way.
“Seven or eight years ago, when the UN Security Council sessions were held, everything was uniform, but today we see serious differences. America still has some majorities in the Security Council, but the Serb people have never had more people ready to say that the heinous accusations, such as the story of genocide, are not true,” Dodik told reporters in Belgrade.
He emphasized that Germany shows a hostile approach to Serb national policies and Serbian national positions in every way.
“From those lies when their helicopters landed on the Pristina stadium and their defense minister lied to the Bundestag that there was a camp at that stadium. That tells us that everything is a lie,” Dodik said.
The President of Republika Srpska pointed out that he will change the current cadre of politicians, but questions whether Germany has ever given up on revenge towards Serbs.
“Another absurdity is that the German nation attacked Serbs twice and killed more than half of the Serbian population in the last century in two world wars and constantly blame us for their defeat. As if we entered Berlin, not them in Belgrade,” Dodik said.
He asked whether Serbs should now be ashamed of their sufferings and ancestors.
“I should now be ashamed of my grandfathers who were in the partisan movement, and Analena Berbok should be proud because her grandfather was an officer in Hitler’s army?! What kind of standards are these? What is happening here?” Dodik asked.
He pointed out that it is not convenient when you have the American administration against you, but whatever you do, you cannot change their stance.
“I often thought about what would happen if I had said 10-15 years ago, okay, let the policy of transferring competencies to BiH continue. Then they would have patted me on the back for a year, and then I would have been negligible. If the policy of courting the EU and the US had continued, Republika Srpska would now be mentioned in BiH as the Republic of Serbian Krajina in Croatia,” Dodik said.
The President of Republika Srpska noted that he chose the harder path, which certainly enabled Republika Srpska to remain and show that it exists.
“What some do not see, that is, part of the opposition, they are in a dramatic minority and do not exist in the end. But the main problem here is how to continue to exist in BiH under conditions when Bosniak politics is homogeneous. Regardless of being in different parties, we see that there is no difference among them, and their main goal is the disappearance of Republika Srpska,” Dodik said.
He emphasized that the idea of Bosniak politics regarding the resolution on Srebrenica is to create a political platform for further struggle against Republika Srpska.
“How can we continue to live together in those circumstances? They say we want secession. What secession? From what? We have entered our Republika Srpska into the community. We will then make friends with the Federation of BiH there,” Dodik said.
