In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the gross electricity production in February amounted to 1,384 gigawatt-hours, which is an increase of 7.12% compared to the same month in 2023, and a decrease of 12.02% compared to the previous month, as reported by the Agency for Statistics of BiH.

In the total gross production, hydroelectric power plants contributed 38.4%, thermal power plants 57.7%, and solar and wind power plants 3.9%.

The gross production of hydroelectric power in February was 531 gigawatt-hours, which is a decrease of 13.38% compared to February 2023, and a decrease of 9.23% compared to January.

Regarding the gross production of thermal power plants in the second month, it stood at 799 gigawatt-hours, which is an increase of 24.84% compared to February of the previous year, and a decrease of 14% compared to January.

The gross production of solar and wind power plants in February was 54 gigawatt-hours, up 38.46% compared to the same month in 2023, and down 8.48% compared to the previous month.
