The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Radovan Višković, emphasized that the Serb people will never forget their friends and what the Russian diplomat Vitaly Churkin did in the UN Security Council for the Serb people when he vetoed the British resolution declaring Serbs as a genocidal nation.

“We never forget and appreciate every support that is provided to us in crucial moments, and throughout our history, it has always been from Russia,” said Višković, who is attending a reception organized by the Russian Embassy tonight on the occasion of the Russian holiday Defender of the Fatherland Day.

Defender of the Fatherland Day is one of the biggest Russian holidays, marked since 1993 in memory of the day of the first mass conscription into the Red Army in St. Petersburg and Moscow – February 23, 1918, as well as the first combat action against the occupation army of Germany.
