A hearing was held in the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the case against the acting director of the Official Gazette of the Republika Srpska, Miloš Lukić, for non-compliance with the decisions of Christian Schmidt.

The indictment against Lukić was read, and the Prosecution proposed the same evidence and witnesses as in the case against the President of the Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik.

Lukić’s defender Miljkan Pucar stated that the indictment has no foundation in law and requested the Prosecution to provide a document proving that Christian Schmidt is the High Representative.

He explained that Lukić would have been criminally liable if he had not signed the decrees, adding that, according to the Criminal Code of the Republika Srpska, the penalty for that is 12 years, and for this alleged act for which he is charged in the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, five years.

The next hearing will be held on March 6th, when Dodik’s hearing is also scheduled.

Both hearings will be held in the same courtroom, at the same time, and judge Sena Uzunović stated that it is not unusual for hearings in separate cases with the same content to be on the same day.

Lukić’s defense has not yet received a response to the request for merging the cases.
