“Dodik After Meeting with Szijjártó: We Affirmed that Republika Srpska is on the European Path

Today, we once again affirmed that Republika Srpska remains on the European path, and it is necessary to fully respect the coordination mechanism,” said the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, at a press conference following a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary, Péter Szijjártó.

“We want two things to be seen: first, Republika Srpska with its authorities, and second, the respect for the coordination mechanism within Bosnia and Herzegovina, and, of course, the constitutional position that Bosnia and Herzegovina holds,” Dodik emphasized.

Dodik highlights that they discussed bilateral relations, emphasizing that Hungary and Republika Srpska have no outstanding issues.

“We respect Budapest’s approach to the region, and I am grateful for clear positions in this regard. Hungary is a natural partner for the development of EU relations with the Balkans, and we welcome the fact that Hungary will soon assume the EU presidency,” said Dodik.

He stated that they particularly want to enhance cooperation in the field of energy, and the collaboration between Republika Srpska and Hungary is mutually beneficial.

President Milorad Dodik stated that all those who applied for support in the Hungarian agricultural program will be able to utilize it.

“All those who applied for support in the agricultural program, regardless of the earlier limited amount, the minister confirmed that everyone who applied will be able to use the program,” Dodik announced during the media conference.

The meeting at the Republic Palace in Republika Srpska was also attended by the Serbian member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željka Cvijanović, the Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Radovan Višković, and the Minister of Scientific-Technological Development and Higher Education of Republika Srpska, Željko Budimir.”
