The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management of Republika Srpska, Savo Minić, stated that it’s necessary to increase the capacity of domestic production and consumer awareness regarding the purchase of domestic products.
He emphasized that despite efforts to improve domestic production capacities, due to the size of the country, there will always be imports, even in sectors where quantities exceed domestic needs, such as the dairy sector.
Minić highlighted that consumers have the right to choose among different products based on origin, quality, and price, as they are part of an open market for CEFTA and EU countries.
