Milorad Kojić, an MP from the SNSD in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament, stated that Republika Srpska will not concede its natural resources. He pointed out that the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Nikšić, by adhering to decisions of the federal government regarding the change in the use of state-owned land in favor of the British company ‘Adriatic Metals,’ is following procedures because the property belongs to the entities.

Kojić highlighted that some foreign parties and international forces aim to register the property under Bosnia and Herzegovina’s name to seize natural resources and wealth.
‘They aim to take away all resources, such as forests, rivers, thermal and hydroelectric power plants, and all the most crucial potentials of any country, and consequently of Republika Srpska, without the right of Srpska to defend them,’ Kojić told journalists in Sarajevo.

He emphasized the example of the self-proclaimed Kosovo*, where they were prepared to declare independence but, in return, handed over all their natural resources and assets.
Kojić emphasized that Republika Srpska is not prepared to surrender its natural wealth.

‘We are not ready to give away our natural wealth because we have our state, Republika Srpska,’ Kojić stated.

The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Government excluded the BiH Attorney General’s Office from making decisions regarding property disposal, particularly forests being cleared in Vareš by the British company ‘Adriatic Metals.’ In justification of this decision, Federal Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić stated that he had consent from Kristijan Šmit.”
