“Despite the inflationary crisis and orchestrated attacks, the Republic of Srpska’s economy is at its most stable,” summarized the Prime Minister of the Government, Radovan Višković, during an interview for the program ‘Aktuelno’ on RTRS television
He emphasized that the outgoing year witnessed a consistent rise in salaries, pensions, and social benefits. For the upcoming year, Višković announced new investment projects throughout Srpska.
“We have record employment, minimal unemployment, and minimal indebtedness. In 2023, when the worst was predicted for us, we borrowed around 700 million and repaid 1.1 billion, which means 400 million more than we borrowed in a year when everyone forecasted our downfall. If that isn’t something a prime minister should boast about, I don’t know what is,” Višković stated.
Discussing the upcoming year, Višković mentioned a planned borrowing of 890 million KM, with an expected repayment of 920 million KM.
“Those who dislike us and try to undermine us are causing harm, but we’re successfully managing and overcoming these obstacles,” Višković concluded.
