A delegation from the Russian Federation visiting Republika Srpska paid a visit to the Serb-Russian Orthodox Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Banja Luka on October 21, presenting an icon to the church as a symbolic gesture of friendship and spiritual unity.
The gift was described as another expression of the close spiritual ties, friendship and traditionally strong relations between the Serb and Russian peoples.
The delegation’s visit to the church, which symbolizes the shared Orthodox Christian heritage of the two peoples, highlighted the importance of preserving and strengthening their longstanding connections.
The occasion also reaffirmed the significance of maintaining spiritual, cultural and historical ties between Republika Srpska and the Russian Federation.
