Multimedia exhibition “Architecture of the Spoken – Reflection Without a Center” opens in Trebinje

Trebinje’s cultural scene has welcomed another artistic event with the opening of a multimedia exhibition by artist Alen Aligrudić, titled Architecture of the Spoken – Reflection Without a Center, at the city’s Cultural Center.

The exhibition brings together several interconnected artistic projects and will remain open to visitors until November 6.

Exploring language, space, architecture and time

Through photography, works on plexiglass, installations, sound and video projections, the exhibition explores the complex relationships between language, space, architecture and time.

The central section of the gallery features a project titled Merchaun, which forms one of the exhibition’s main artistic components.

The exhibition also includes two additional projects, PostaMerc and MercFront, both of which explore different forms of reflection.

PostaMerc presents a vision of the future as imagined in the past, examining how earlier expectations and perceptions relate to the present.

MercFront, filmed in Belgrade, focuses on memory and the transformation of urban space, exploring the contrast between how people remember the city and how they experience it today through ongoing architectural and urban changes.

Together, these works invite visitors to reflect on the connections between personal memory, the built environment and the passage of time.

Internationally exhibited artist

Alen Aligrudić lives and works in Copenhagen, Denmark.

His works have previously been exhibited in Germany, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Sweden and countries of the former Yugoslavia.

The exhibition Architecture of the Spoken – Reflection Without a Center is open at the Trebinje Cultural Center until November 6.
