A student assembly was held in East Novo Sarajevo on Thursday evening, where participants discussed their positions and agreed on further activities in response to banners displayed at student gatherings in Serbia.
The public will be informed of the assembly’s conclusions at a later date.
The gathering was organized by the Student Union of Republika Srpska and the Student Parliament of the University of East Sarajevo, following an agreement reached at a recent joint meeting of the two organizations.
Students displayed banners carrying the messages “Kosovo is Serbia,” “The Drina is a backbone, not a border,” and “No surrender.”
The slogan referring to the Drina River, which forms part of the border between Serbia and BiH, emphasized the students’ sense of national and cultural unity across the river.
The organizers are expected to announce the assembly’s conclusions and planned activities following the meeting.
