The East Sarajevo Central Library will mark Children’s Week today, highlighting the importance of recognizing the needs of every child and responding appropriately to the different situations children encounter while growing up.
The event will also mark the conclusion of the “Summer Reading Program,” which encouraged children to read as many books as possible during their summer holidays.
Awards will be presented to the most active reader, as well as for the best literary work and the best illustration.
A special program will be held to honor the most successful young readers, featuring children who participated in workshops organized by the Children’s Library.
- Through these activities, the Central Library continues to encourage children and parents to use library services while promoting reading and education – the library said in a statement.
