Roguljić joins Borac

FK Borac has signed Croatian midfielder Ante Roguljić on a two-year contract.

The 30-year-old arrives in Banja Luka after spending last season with Hungarian side Diósgyőr and becomes Borac’s third signing of the summer transfer window, following the arrivals of striker Dani Romero and winger Amar Milak.

“I am very happy and satisfied. The negotiations were short and efficient, and now we move on to new victories. The goal is always to play for the best possible club in every league. Borac is one of the strongest teams in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which it has proven over the past few years through its European performances and domestic titles. That was one of the reasons that attracted me even more to come here. I am delighted to be part of Borac, preparations start tomorrow, and I can’t wait for the season to begin,” Roguljić told the club’s official website.

Roguljić began his football career at Omladinac Vranjic before joining Adriatic Split. In 2013, at the age of 17, he moved to Austria and signed for Red Bull Salzburg. During his time there, he was loaned out to Liefering and later to Hajduk Split in 2015.

After one season at Hajduk, he continued his career with Austrian clubs Admira Wacker and Wacker Innsbruck, also on loan from Salzburg. Following the expiration of his contract, he went on to play for Pafos, Trenčín, Universitatea Craiova, Universitatea Cluj, Anorthosis, and most recently Diósgyőr.

Roguljić represented Croatia at all youth levels and made 20 appearances for the country’s U-17 national team, the most caps he earned in any youth category.
