Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet today with Milorad Dodik and Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić, the Kremlin announced.
“Relations between Russia and Republika Srpska are historic, traditional and very, very close. You will remember that Putin regularly held meetings with Milorad Dodik. These contacts are now continuing with Savo Minić as well,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
Dodik previously said that his meeting with the Russian president would include a review of matters agreed during earlier talks as well as discussions on future plans.
He described relations between Republika Srpska and the Russian Federation as being at the highest possible level and said they were developing within the framework of strategic cooperation.
Speaking about the Dayton Peace Agreement, Dodik accused Western countries of undermining the agreement, while praising Russia for what he described as its consistent support for Dayton within the UN Security Council.
