Milorad Dodik is visiting Israel, where he met on Thursday with Moshe Levi, whom he described as an Israeli hero, a close personal friend, a friend of Republika Srpska and a brother of the Serb people.
“It is wonderful to be with Moshe Levi again, a hero of Israel, a great personal friend and friend of Republika Srpska, and a brother of the Serb people,” Dodik said.
Dodik said Levi had demonstrated extraordinary courage during the most difficult moments and that his relationship with the Serb people and respect for Serb victims showed that genuine friendships are measured not by words, but by actions.
“We are proud of the friendship that connects the Serb and Jewish peoples – a friendship built on respect, shared remembrance and an understanding of the price of freedom,” Dodik wrote in a post on X.
Acting Director of the Republika Srpska Office for International Cooperation Ana Trišić Babić and Republika Srpska Interior Minister Željko Budimir are also part of the delegation visiting Israel.
A meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled for Thursday.
Dodik previously said that talks with Netanyahu would focus on further strengthening relations and finalizing agreements on concrete economic projects, as well as advancing cultural and scientific cooperation, particularly cooperation between universities.
