The sentence handed down to Hashim Thaçi and others is a “caricature of justice” that serves to relativize crimes against Serbs and absolve the so-called Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) of terrorism, Milorad Dodik said.
“It is shameful that the systematic killing of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija was not classified as a crime against humanity, leaving the impression that they were killed merely as incidental victims. Thaçi was the ideologue and leader of a terrorist organization, a direct perpetrator and someone who gave orders,” Dodik wrote in a post on X.
Dodik argued that these circumstances had been disregarded.
“We have long known that there is neither justice nor law in The Hague. Now we know definitively that there is no respect or compassion for Serb victims either. The fact that the trial was held 25 years after the crimes were committed shows that the intention was to conceal those crimes,” Dodik said.
