Dodik: Trump does not divide nations – he encourages them to believe in their sovereignty and freedom

U.S. President Donald Trump has once again demonstrated in Dublin that great statesmen change the world through the courage to understand others, Milorad Dodik said.

“He does not divide nations – he encourages them to believe in themselves, in their right to sovereignty and freedom. His position that the unification of Northern Ireland and Ireland would be the most natural move of all time is visionary and consistent with the principle of the right of peoples to self-determination,” Dodik wrote in a post on X.

Dodik asked why other peoples should not have the same right to unite if the German people were able to do so.

“Today’s meeting of the leaders of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland in Cardiff, where they will sign an agreement aimed at establishing independence from the United Kingdom, also indicates that the era of domination and colonization is coming to an end,” Dodik said.

He went on to strongly criticize Britain’s historical role in the Balkans.

“London’s policies have brought much evil and suffering to the Balkans. They encouraged divisions, sowed hatred and intolerance, lectured others while violating every principle themselves. London is no longer a global power, and that particularly pleases me,” Dodik concluded.
