At the invitation of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Mladost Cultural and Artistic Society from Pale is taking part in the 15th Golden Ring International Folklore Festival, being held in Moscow and Vladimir.
Members of Mladost will present Serbian tradition and culture to Russian and international audiences through traditional dance and song, with particular emphasis on the Serb kolo, one of the most recognizable symbols of Serb cultural heritage.
The ensemble said that participation in the major international festival provides an opportunity to promote the culture and traditions of Republika Srpska and Serbia, while also strengthening cultural ties and friendship between the Serb and Russian peoples.
“Serb kolo will be danced on Russian soil, and we will showcase the richness and beauty of our cultural heritage,” Mladost said.
Members of the ensemble also greeted their audience from Moscow’s Red Square, saying it was a great honor to have the opportunity to represent the traditions of their people in Russia.
