The “Vortex” festival was held in Gradiška last weekend, bringing together numerous fans of rap and hip-hop culture and once again proving that this type of music has a strong audience in the city on the Sava River.
Popular Belgrade performers Paja Kratak and Bigru brought the atmosphere to a fever pitch with a series of well-known underground rap hits, while Cunami Flo added a special energy to the evening by performing some of his biggest and most popular songs.
Following their performances, the artists praised the turnout and energy of the audience. They also commended the organization of the festival, saying that “Vortex” had done an excellent job and that the enthusiasm of young people in Gradiška showed that the rap and hip-hop scene remains very much alive.
Cunami Flo said he was pleased that Gradiška had gained a festival such as “Vortex” and that hip-hop attracts a large number of young listeners, as demonstrated by the strong turnout at the Summer Stage of the Homeland Museum.
Paja Kratki, whose real name is Pavle Janković, said the Gradiška audience showed great energy and proved that underground rap has a loyal following, including among younger generations.
One example was Gradiška native Sergej Kurelj, who joined the Belgrade rappers to perform the song “Rep za malu decu.”
“Vortex” festival organizer Igor Majkić said young people’s interest in the event exceeded his expectations, describing it as further evidence of the growing popularity of alternative music.
He noted that the audience in Gradiška had an opportunity to experience different regional music scenes, with Banja Luka represented by DJ Mladen Tomić, Belgrade by Paja Kratak and Bigru, and Sarajevo by Cunami Flo.
The first urban music festival was held as part of “Gradiška Summer on the Sava 2026,” with the support of the City of Gradiška.
