Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović said that Bosniak politicians are once again campaigning for the opposition in Republika Srpska, while at the same time attacking Milorad Dodik and SNSD.
“We have seen this before, and there is nothing new about it. Such an obsession with Republika Srpska and its political representatives only shows how powerless they are to respond to the growing challenges in the Federation of BiH,” Cvijanović said.
She noted that, as usual, one of the loudest voices in this campaign is Elmedin Konaković.
“He announced that he would sweep SNSD away with a bulldozer, but in the end it was his political mentors, including Christian Schmidt, who were swept away. That is why his anger toward Milorad Dodik, who keeps defeating him politically, is understandable,” Cvijanović wrote on X.
According to her, it is therefore no surprise that Konaković, apparently desperate over his own political failures, has placed all his bets on the opposition in Republika Srpska and openly joined its political promotion.
“However, he should know that political will in Republika Srpska is not determined by Sarajevo, nor can it be shaped by Bosniak politicians, but exclusively by its citizens. The election result in Republika Srpska will not be determined by those who wish it harm, but by the citizens of Republika Srpska – those who live there, love it and want what is best for it,” said Cvijanović, who is also vice president of SNSD.
Cvijanović stressed that the government led by SNSD is accountable exclusively to the citizens of Republika Srpska, just as Konaković should be accountable to the citizens of the Federation of BiH for the results of his own policies.
“It is therefore pointless for him to seek an alibi in Milorad Dodik and Republika Srpska for his own failures, mistakes and political defeats. The sooner he understands this, the sooner he will have to face what he persistently avoids – his own results,” Cvijanović concluded.
Earlier today, Elmedin Konaković published a video in which he made a series of accusations against Milorad Dodik and the authorities in Republika Srpska.
