Dodik: Republika Srpska should reconsider its approach to Martens, entry ban among options

The lies spread for years about Serbs and Republika Srpska have made people’s lives much more difficult than they would have been had they not been so shamelessly demonized, President Milorad Dodik said, adding that Michael Martens, driven by hatred, had also caused considerable harm.

“That is why we understand much better than others how much malice is embedded in the sentence: ‘How can we help kill as many Russians as possible?’” Dodik wrote on X.

Dodik emphasized that the Serbian and Russian peoples were among the greatest victims of the 20th century.

“The sacrifice they made for their own freedom, but also for the freedom of others, is immeasurable. Only twisted minds can rejoice in and call for the killing of members of the Russian people. Martens’ deep-rooted hatred of Russians is such that it does not matter who kills them, only that they are killed. Martens cannot be called a journalist, and people like that cannot be described by any attribute associated with humanity,” Dodik said.

He added that Republika Srpska should reconsider its approach toward Michael Martens.

“One of the possible options is to ban him from entering Republika Srpska,” Dodik said.
