On the second evening of the 18th Theater Days festival in Mrkonjić Grad, the play “Extinguished Dreams” was performed by the Drama Group of the Stanari Cultural Center, based on a text written and directed by Željka Damjanović.
Tonight’s program features “Trans-Siberian Railway” by DIS Theater from Banja Luka, directed by Ognjen Bogdanović.
“This is our first time participating in the festival. We are performing a play that deals with a truly difficult subject. We speak about the suffering of children in Jasenovac. It is a story that we have presented in numerous cities across Republika Srpska,” said Željka Damjanović of the Stanari Cultural Center Drama Group.
The festival is competitive, with the audience selecting the best performance by awarding scores from one to five.
“We first performed this play three years ago. Our drama group has existed for four years. This is a story that must never be forgotten,” said Aleksa Vuković of the Stanari Cultural Center Drama Group.
