The third Art Colony organized by the “Mak” Polish Association was held in Ćelinovac, near Gradiška, the largest Polish community in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Over the course of the event, children and adults had the opportunity to develop their artistic skills, while the works created during the colony will be exhibited and offered for sale at the traditional “Pierogi Festival”.
Set beneath century-old oak trees in the churchyard of St. Michael’s Church in Ćelinovac, this year’s gathering once again brought together art enthusiasts of all ages, demonstrating that creativity knows no age limits.
The event welcomed 25 children, who learned the fundamentals of painting and explored basic artistic techniques, while more experienced participants refined their existing knowledge and skills. Adult artists who have nurtured a long-standing passion for painting also took part.
The Art Colony forms part of a project implemented by the “Mak” Polish Association in cooperation with the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The artworks produced during this year’s event will be presented at a charity exhibition during the traditional Pierogi Festival, scheduled for August 1 in Ćelinovac. Visitors will have the opportunity to purchase the paintings, with proceeds supporting the future activities of the “Mak” Association.
