SNSD leader Milorad Dodik, in an interview with RIA Novosti, compared the attack by the Ukrainian armed forces on Starobilsk with the 1995 NATO bombing of Republika Srpska and the 1999 bombing of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
Dodik said that the West does not condemn the attack by the Ukrainian armed forces, nor does it view it as a war crime, a brutal mass killing or a crime against humanity.
“Thirty years ago, it was acceptable to kill Serbs and drop bombs with depleted uranium, and now it is probably acceptable to kill Russians as well. That is how they see the world. I have no doubt about that,” Dodik stressed.
Dodik said that Republika Srpska wants Russia to win in the special military operation in Ukraine.
“We believe that the military operation is justified,” Dodik said.
He noted that when the whole of Europe was trying to build its policy on Russophobia, the Serbs “remained the only sincere and important friends of the Russian Federation in this part of the world.”
“The European elite is currently in a major crisis. We believe that once peace comes to Ukraine, the reasons for their unity will disappear. Before the special military operation, they were divided. It was clear that neither the European Union nor NATO functioned in the way they had been presented to us for years,” Dodik said.
