The 21st International Amateur Theatre Festival officially opened today in Laktaši.
The festival began with the premiere performance of Upstairs – Downstairs by the “Daske” Amateur Theatre from Laktaši, written by Nenad Tadić and directed by Ognjen Todorović. The festival will run until June 28.
All performances will be staged at the Laktaši Cultural Centre starting at 8:00 p.m., except for the closing evening, which will begin at 7:30 p.m.
On June 23, audiences will have the opportunity to watch When We Were Our Age by the Youth Theatre BN from Bijeljina, while June 24 is reserved for Banja Luka’s DIS Theatre and its production A Second and 35.
The following two evenings will feature international guest performances. On June 25, the Zarja Theatre from Celje, Slovenia, will present The Excursion, while on June 26, the AKUD “Sonja Marinković” ensemble from Novi Sad, Serbia, will perform A Strange Afternoon.
The Drama Stage of the Serb Educational and Cultural Society “Prosvjeta” from Prnjavor will take the stage on June 27 with My Friend D. – Una’s Story.
