Pavić: Colonial rule in Bosnia and Herzegovina must come to an end

Political analyst Aleksandar Pavić stated for Srna that the time has come to finally put an end to colonial rule in Bosnia and Herzegovina, emphasizing that the Declaration adopted by the National Assembly of Republika Srpska clearly expressed a political position regarding the future of the Office of the High Representative (OHR).

Pavić described the Declaration on the closure of the Office of the High Representative as a historic document because it reflects the political will expressed in parliament that no further foreign impositions will be accepted.

He noted that the Declaration is only a logical continuation of recent developments.

“I am referring to the resignation of Christian Schmidt, the new political winds coming especially from Washington, and the fact that the time has come to finally end colonial administration in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Pavić said.

According to him, the Declaration clearly defines what the high representatives were, what they represented and why the OHR should have been closed long ago.

“Republika Srpska has very clearly expressed its position that there must no longer be colonial governance in Bosnia and Herzegovina, so this is a political stance regardless of what will happen with the OHR itself,” Pavić stated.
