The International Literature Festival in Venice was held from April 15 to 18, where the book Poslije zabave (After the Party) by Stevo Grabovac was promoted.
The nineteenth edition of Incroci di civiltà, the international literature festival, has brought writers from around the world to Venice since 2008.
The festival gathers authors and literary figures who exchange stories, experiences and lives across different languages and cultures.
As previously announced, the long-established Venetian publishing house Marsilio Editori published Grabovac’s novel Poslije zabave in its Marsilio Romanzi series.
It is the first title from Serb literature included in the publisher’s catalogue.
The novel, which was named the best book of 2024 in the selection of NIN, was translated into Italian by Marija Bradaš, assistant professor of Serb and Croatian literature at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, and Marijana Puljić, who completed her master’s degree at the same university.
