The cycling team of Republika Srpska will compete in the United States, following talks between Vladimir Kuvalja and Rod Blagojevich, as well as Ranko Ristić.
During the discussions, Kuvalja presented the national team project, which has participated in numerous international competitions and gained recognition, including in BRICS countries.
A key focus was placed on the upcoming U.S. tour, aimed at further promoting Republika Srpska and Serbian sport on a global level.
- “I thank Mr. Blagojevich and Mr. Ristić for their support to the Serb people in the United States. Their engagement is of great importance,” Kuvalja said, also expressing gratitude to Milorad Dodik for supporting international cooperation.
Ristić emphasized that both he and the Serb community in the U.S. are ready to assist the athletes during their stay.
- “We are here to help our athletes feel comfortable and supported while competing in the United States,” he said.
Kuvalja added that contacts with race organizers in the U.S. will be intensified, noting that cooperation with some organizers already exists.
Cyclists from Republika Srpska have been competing in U.S. races for years. Among them, Ranko Ševo previously competed for American clubs and achieved notable results, while Dušan Kalaba and Pavle Kalaba are currently in the U.S., representing their clubs and Republika Srpska.
