GDP grows for 20 consecutive quarters

The gross domestic product (GDP) of Republika Srpska, based on quarterly estimates, amounted to KM 18.28 billion last year. Compared with 2024, it was higher by 6.2 percent in nominal terms and by 1.9 percent in real terms, according to data from the Institute of Statistics of Republika Srpska.

Real GDP growth in Republika Srpska in the fourth quarter of last year, compared with the same period of 2024, stood at 1.9 percent. This marks 20 consecutive quarters—or five years—of real GDP growth, SRNA reported.

By sectors of economic activity, in the final quarter of last year real growth in gross value added of 5.5 percent was recorded in information and communications, while financial and insurance activities posted growth of 4.7 percent.

In manufacturing, however, a decline in gross value added of 5.4 percent was registered over the observed period.
