The Serb member of the BiH Presidency, Željka Cvijanović, said that the speech delivered by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio at the Munich Security Conference was inspiring and sobering.
“U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio delivered a speech in Munich that can, in the briefest terms, be described as inspiring, thorough, clear, and sobering,” Cvijanović wrote on the social network X.
In his address at the Munich Conference, Rubio stressed that the idea of a world without borders and replacing national interests with a global order has come at a high cost to the world.
He pointed out that mass migration threatens the cohesion and future of Western countries and destabilizes their societies.
He also emphasized that the United Nations have enormous potential, but lack answers to the most urgent questions and, in practice, play almost no role.
Cvijanović is taking part in the Munich Security Conference, the leading forum for international security policy.
During the conference, numerous high-level debates on international security will be held.
