“Boiling Point” performed in Bijeljina

The play Boiling Point, a comedy-drama written by Miloš Ilić and directed by Petar Popović, was performed in Bijeljina.

The piece explores modern alienation and the constant pressure of everyday life, where people are surrounded by others yet increasingly alone. Despite the abundance of information and virtual interaction, genuine conversation, emotion, and trust are missing.

The story follows an ordinary factory worker struggling to balance responsibility and personal limits long since crossed. Through humor and introspection, the character confronts layers of his past and present, reaching a moment where words become the only way out.

Conceived as a monodrama with comedic elements, the play serves as an artistic commentary on a world obsessed with speed and the idea that there is “no time,” often lacking patience to truly listen.

The audience recognized familiar characters and everyday dilemmas, with the performance offering a humorous but poignant reflection on the search for personal balance and inner peace in contemporary life.
