All primary and secondary schools in Derventa jointly marked their patron saint’s day—St. Sava—with a ceremonial academy. This year, the role of host was held by the “Todor Dokić” Primary School from Kalenderovci.
Through recitations, dramatic performances, and songs, students presented scenes from the life of the first Serbian educator.
The program also featured participants from the “Budućnost” Center for Children and Youth with Developmental Disabilities, whose performance was warmly received by the audience.
St. Sava, celebrated as the school patron saint, will be observed in all Derventa schools on Tuesday, the day of the feast itself.
Derventa Mayor Igor Žunić announced new capital investments in the education system, including the renovation of several school facilities.
